World Billiards is pleased to announce the appointment of Paul Lloyd to its Board of Directors.

Paul is well-known on the snooker and billiards scene in the UK as the owner of Landywood Snooker Club. The venue has an excellent reputation and has hosted many important events, including our World Billiards Championship since 2023.

His lifelong passion for snooker led to his ownership of the Landywood club from 2020. He has also played the sport for many years including a spell on the professional circuit in the early 1990’s.

Since hosting billiards events at Landywood, Paul has developed a much deeper interest in the 3-ball game and its potential. His business interests in cue sports, whilst working with various stakeholders in the industry, include player management, equipment sales and distribution, and sponsorship. Paul also owns a logistics company based in Shrewsbury.

We are delighted that Paul has agreed to join the WBL team, with a focus on increasing exposure and developing new partnerships for the sport moving forwards.

The Board believes that Paul’s expertise and connections will be a significant boost for WBL and its long-term aspirations for the continued growth of billiards.

Paul Lloyd said: “I feel honoured and privileged to have the opportunity to join the board of World Billiards. Through events at Landywood I have seen first-hand the work of the WBL team, and the enthusiasm within the billiards fraternity, and I can’t wait to offer my support in an official capacity going forward.”

Jason Colebrook, World Billiards Managing Director, said: “We are delighted that Paul has agreed to join our team. I’m sure he’ll complement the existing skills of the board, bring a fresh perspective, and help to boost our profile further as WBL moves forwards. We’re looking forward to working with him.”
