Auckland Open and Barton McGill New Zealand Open – 13-17th September ’23

We are pleased to confirm that two World Billiards events will again be held in New Zealand in September, in partnership with the New Zealand Billiards and Snooker Association. The venue is the Papatoetoe Cosmopolitan Club (PCC), Auckland. They have 8 new (under a year old) Shender Tables, heated, with steel backed cushions. Local organisers will also be arranging social events such as a trip to the ‘Auckland night Trots’.

The Auckland Open is a level 1 World Ranking Event and the New Zealand Open a level 3. Both events will be played under the timed format.

Current Champion:

Peter Gilchrist was the last winner of the Auckland Open WBL event having beaten Rob Hall in 2016. Gilchrist is also the defending New Zealand Open Champion having won the title in 2022.
