Paul Lloyd Appointed as Chairman of World Billiards Ltd

World Billiards Ltd (WBL) is pleased to announce that Paul Lloyd has been appointed as Chairman.

Paul joined the WBL Board in April 2025 and has already made a valuable contribution to the work of the Board during his time as a Director. He is the owner of Landywood Snooker Club, one of the UK’s leading billiards and snooker venues and a regular host of major tournaments.

Widely respected within the cue sports community, Paul brings extensive experience across a range of areas, including player management, equipment sales and distribution, sponsorship, and working with a variety of stakeholders to support the development of the game. He also owns a successful logistics company based in Shrewsbury.

Since joining the Board, Paul has worked closely with his fellow Directors while engaging with players at all levels of the game to better understand their views and priorities. He has also played an active role in increasing the profile of World Billiards, exploring new partnership opportunities, and supporting the continued growth of the sport.

Commenting on his appointment, Paul said:

“I am honoured to have the opportunity to serve as Chairman of World Billiards. I look forward to working alongside my fellow Directors, players, officials and our partners as we continue to build on the progress made in recent years. My priority is to work with the whole billiards community, bringing players together across all levels of the game, ensuring that players continue to have a voice, and working with the Board to place World Billiards in the strongest possible position to secure new opportunities and support for the sport. Together, we will seek to increase participation, continue to grow prize money where possible, and build a strong and sustainable future for billiards.”

The Board congratulates Paul on his appointment and looks forward to the start of the new World Billiards season in the coming weeks.
