Walter Lindrum Australian Open – 10-13th June ’25
In our final event of what has been a fantastic World Billiards season, we head ‘down under’ once again for the Walter Lindrum Australian Open in Melbourne.
The Australian Open Billiards Championship has been held since 2001 under a variety of names and playing formats. Past winners of the event have included Peter Gilchrist, Pankaj Advani, Rob Hall, Sourav Kothari, Matthew Bolton and Steve Mifsud.
Most recently named the Pacific International Billiards, the ABSC has decided to recognise the legacy of the greatest player of all – Walter Lindrum – by naming the event in his honour. A perpetual trophy will be struck in 2025 recognising all past champions.
The Yarraville Club plays host to this level 5 event which promises to attract a top quality field. We are grateful for the support and sponsorship from the Victorian Government, Victorian Billiards and Snooker Association, the Australian Billiards and Snooker Council, Billiards Australia and The Yarraville Club. The minimum prize pool is $10,000.
This event follows on immediately after the Lance Pannell Snooker Championship at the same venue (7th – 9th June), this event is also open to all players.
