Landywood Snooker Club(Landywood Snooker Club)

UK Championship – 24-26th January ’25

We are delighted to announce further details on the UK Championship, which will take place in January.

Thanks to the generous sponsorship and support of our hosts, Landywood Snooker Club, the UK Championship returns to the calendar after a hiatus of six years, as a level 4 World Ranking event. The event has a rich history, dating back to 1934 and featuring legends of the game such as Joe Davis and Tom Newman.

Players will be competing in Landywood to have their name etched on the same piece of silerware that was first won in 1979, when Rex Williams defeated Fred Davis.

The group stage with 90-minute timed matches will take place all day on Friday and Saturday, with the knockout stage on Sunday. A Challenge Cup will also be held on Sunday for players not reaching the knockout stage.

As the host venue of the World Billiards Championship for the last two years, Paul Lloyd and his team at Landywood are excited to be adding the UK Championship to their club’s calendar, we can’t wait to again experience the fantastic playing conditions and hospitality that the club has to offer.
