David Causier is no stranger to picking up titles in Ireland and this week was no exception. Causier was in superb form, and picked up £2,080 for his five days’ work at the Ivy Rooms, Carlow.
The Irish Open was held over the Saturday and Sunday (18-19 May), followed by the European Open from Monday to Wednesday
Martin Goodwill was in excellent form as he reached both finals, making a 438 break (the highest of the Irish Open), and beating Peter Gilchrist in both events. The highest break of the European Open was 452 by Causier.
In the Challenge Cup final, it was Rupublic of Ireland against Northern Ireland as Joe Doheny beat John McIntyre.
