Champion: Peter Gilchrist

Runner Up: Phil Mumford

This was won by Peter Gilchrist who played Phil Mumford – 737 to 332. Peter played his usual solid game, racking breaks of 158,193,76,105,74 in the process. Phil came back too late with a break of 130 which included a masse loser along the top cushion, much appreciated by the audience.

Note that there was a random draw into the K/O stage which paired the favourites Peter Gilchrist and Rob Hall in the quarter final. This proved to be a very close game ending 482–448 to Peter.
