Arthur lives in Essex with his wife and two children.
After a long break from the game, Arthur resumed competitive billiards in 2009 and was an ever present on the EBOS tour in 2010/11 where he finished a creditable 10th in the season’s rankings, boosted by a semi final appearance in the Jersey Open.

His highest matchplay break is a 114 in an ABC tournament in the 1980s.  His highest EBOS break is a 102 in the East Midlands Open at Raunds in 2010.

Away from Billiards Arthur is a Trustee and Treasurer for a charity (CLAPA).  He is also a lifelong Leyton Orient fan and enjoys the occasional round of golf and more frequent games of racketball to keep fit.

He is a qualified WPBSA coach.
