Devendra Joshi



Devendra has been representing India in various International events since 1992. At the World Professional Billiards Championships in 1995 he lost to Geet Sethi in the final.

He has a highest break of 714 at the IBSF World Billiards Championships held in Australia in 2002.  He has been the finalist at the World Championships in the years 2005 at Malta and 2008 at Bangalore.  Devendra has also won the Asian Billiards title in 2003 and is the Bronze medalist at the Asian Games in 1998 at Bangkok.

Devendra was part of the Indian team along with Geet Sethi & B.V.S. Murthy who won the IBSF World Masters Team Snooker Championships held at San Jose, California (USA).  He represented India at the 9-Ball Pool World Championships in Alicante, Spain in 1998. He has been the winner of the Indian National Billiards, Snooker & 8 – Ball Pool events.

Devendra was honoured by the President of India with the prestigious Arjuna Award in the year 2001. 

He works with Bharat Petroleum Corp. Ltd, a refining & marketing Oil sector company and looks after the sports promotion activities of the Corporation which have 88 Sportspersons from various sports disciplines under its wing.

He lives in Mumbai, India with wife Amruta and daughter Sriya.
