Richard de la Haye

Richard, a Sagittarian was born in 1948 and has lived in Jersey all his life.

He started playing Snooker at the age of 12 on a ½ size table. Playing league snooker  from 1964 to 1980 he took a break, starting again in 1991. He played league Billiards from 1973 to 1978 winning club & Island trophies. Richard represented Jersey at Billiards & Snooker and was Island Billiard losing finalist in 1995.

His highest Billiards match break is 83.

Other interests include boat fishing, target shooting and Freemasonry.

He holds the distinction of representing Jersey at two sports on the same day. Rifle target shooting in Guernsey in the afternoon & returning to represent Jersey in the Inter Island Snooker match in the evening winning his two frames & securing victory for his Island.

Richards  position for the past four years has been President of the Jersey Billiards & Snooker Association.




He recently acquired a made-to-order personalised 20 oz Maple Peradon Cue, with a Kamui Black tip,

By his own admission he is well past his sell by date !
