My only claim to fame was reaching the last 16 of the English Amateur. I was soundly beaten by Martin Goodwill  at Darley Dale.  Tom Terry very kindly put me up for a couple of nights in Nottingham when I played Martin about 10 years ago.

I think my highest break was around 80.
I use a modern Cannon cue, there are 3 billiard balls on the butt end. I usually use Elk Master tips but would use any good make.
Not playing much now but have a tickle on winter Mondays with a friend at Royal Troon Golf Club. They recently created a two table Billiard Room. A beautiful room with very good tables.
I love Billiards but I also love Golf.  I’ve just turned 74 and am stuck with a 6 hcp which I can’t play to. I would think at least 9 would be nearer the mark.
Sorry I don’t have a long Billiards history. Dave Sneddon coached me for a while and travelled to a few Pro/Ams in England with Davey and so met most of the guys. I won a few rounds but that’s it.
