Peter Shelley

Retired from the leisure industry 5 years ago, Peter now enjoys his young grandchildren and playing Billiards.
He is a founder member and former Chairman of EABA until resigning 4 years ago for family health reasons.
Prior to giving up Snooker in 1984 he made a 147 break. In his inaugural EBOS tournament last year in Jersey he clocked a 144 break.

  • 1955,1957 National Junior Billiards and Snooker Champion
  • 1967 West Midlands Billiards and Snooker Champ. To celebrate this win Peter played an exhibition against E. Pickup (Stafford) with a grade A Ref. and made successive breaks of 589 and 385.
  • Midland Counties Billiards and Snooker Champion, Junior and Senior.
  • 4 times runner-up English Amateur Billiard Championship
  • 3 times runner-up National CIU Billiard Championship
  • British Grand Masters Billiards champion 4 times
  • Winner of 11 Open Billiards Tournaments in New Zealand plus 5 times winner of the New Zealand Open Billiards Championship.
