Steve Baillie

Steve Baillie was born 13-10-1963 and now lives in Houston, Renfrewshire, Scotland.

His hghest Match break is 63, highest EBOS Break 42.

Cue (previous Maple Master Cue was stolen from car!): Trevor White (Maple) one piece, weight: 16.2oz, tip size: 9.25mm, type: have tried many of the new types – still keep coming back to a good Elkmaster! (if I can find one amongst the mass produced dross nowadays)

Life outside of billiards – married to Lorraine. We have 2 kids and 2 step kids.
Steve started life playing football before turning to Snooker at 20, latterly getting into Billiards as well !

He is currently running his own Sales & Marketing Business with wife Lorraine – “Baillie & Baillie Sales and Marketing” (we sat up for nights on end thinking up that name!) and doing very well.

For the past 3 years Steve has attended College & University to do a Degree in Web Development, returning to West of Scotland University late September 2011 to do Honours Degree, with a view to maybe go into teaching/lecturing in later years.

Interests – Family, Snooker, Golf, Cruise Ships, Travel, Computing and Philately.

Achievements (Snooker)

  • Previous Chairman of Scottish Snooker for 7 years.
  • Currently acting Secretary of SB&SA (Scottish Billiards & Snooker Association).
  • Represented Scotland on many occasions at International Level.
  • 4 x Scottish Masters No1 and 2009 Masters National Champion.
  • 2007 IBSF World Masters Quarter Finalist (Thailand).
  • Had 2 147’s many moons ago in practice.
  • Managed the Scottish Mens Team in the 2003 Home International Title and International Cup.
